Red Bull Blindness

Reportedly, 26-year-old Lena Lupari from Northern Ireland drinks 28 cans of Red Bull a day! Hell yeah you read that right. And she says she's going blind because of it.

I don't want to dive deeper into this story;

1. Why are you drinking 28 cans of Red Bull a day?!? Does Red Bull cure cancer, or fix stupid? 'Cause that's the only reason you should be drinking 28 cans a day!

Also,

2. There has been research published that shows that if you drink a certain amount of caffeine, it does increase the risk of blindness and vision loss.

But,

3. Even Red Bull — the company that gives you the drink — says not to consume more than two hundred milliliters a day!

People, living a long life is about moderation.

The Wrong Breast

A woman in cancer being treated at an oncological hospital in the northern Italian town of Rimini, just received one million dollars. Reason being is she had undergone four months of terrible, terrible chemotherapy – on the breast that did not have cancer.

They were supposed to be taking care of the lump in her left breast; they were actually working on the right. The 40-year-old woman didn't notice until after months and she spotted a burn mark on her right breast, which was healthy. Not sure if it was a good sign she showed it to her doctor who examined and alerted her that the four months of grueling chemotherapy, the 22 radiotherapy sessions, and the operation she underwent for a cancerous lump on her left breast, were all on her right breast (technically the wrong breast). So basically, the right breast doesn't have cancer, which...turns out her doctor already knew.

Consequently, this cancer has been untreated for four months, and it's estimated that this medical mishap has reduced the possibility of the woman's survival by no less than 20 percent.

New Research Suggests That Routine Dietary Supplements May Be Unnecessary or Even Harmful

In a new editorial in AOIM (otherwise known as the Annals of Internal Medicine), physicians say supplements don't do anything. Or better put: not only could supplements not prevent cancer, but could cause harm.

Supplements including vitamins B, C, and E, do not slow down, or stop cognitive decline in men.

High dose multivitamins will not stop heart problems.

Essentially, you're just turning your pee into very, very expensive, vitamin-enriched pee.

But, they did say that supplements do have benefits in certain situations.

In women who become pregnant, you should definitely take folic acid.

Iron supplements are also very important for pregnant women.

Vegetarians, or vegans need to eat foods that have B12, or take supplements (in that case).

Very interesting. It seems that the theme along this entire study is that the vitamins are not ultimately useless; it seems that when you are deficient in something, that's when you can definitely use it. But, when you are already getting enough, and you still think that "the more, the better", it doesn't actually work that way.
