Drake's Dangerous Digital Dive

It specifically started with Nadeshot.

Nadeshot, if you don't know, is an OG YouTuber and a former professional gamer. Very recently, he's been in the news and I haven't the slightest idea if you saw the Forbes headline:

In case it's unclear, the young company called 100 Thieves is an eSports and lifestyle brand founded by Nadeshot and according to the report, they (Matt “Nadeshot” Haag and Aubrey “Drake” Graham and also Scooter Braun, who represents, or more correctly speaking, manages Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber) are basically becoming co-owners.

The thing is, this move isn't really just coming out of nowhere. This is technically the latest thing to further legitimize what's been happening. In late 2017, Dan Gilbert, the owner of Quicken Loans and the Cleveland Cavaliers, put in millions of dollars into this company (100 Thieves).

Matter-of-factly, according to Forbes, 100 Thieves has received twenty five million dollars ($25,000,000) in funding!

Even before this announcement was made, there were high-profile additions to the organization being made.

And seeing this, even though I've got no involvement whatsoever over there, I'm just so pumped about it!

Essentially, I think it is incredibly important to note that having an absolutely astronomical, notable name like Drake heavily associated and surpassingly invested is overwhelmingly huge!

I mean, there's a really rational reason why it was such a massive, profound pop culture moment when you had Drizzy streaming with Ninja!

Consequently, with this move right here, not only is time and respect acquired by the testicles, but money. Further buttresses and strengthens my notion that money talks and bullshit can take the bus. Money has always been—and will always be—the major issue. More specifically, money matters not only in that money will allow you to move levers and allow you to do others things that you wouldn't be able to do without it, but also the transaction of money.

From a pretty personal perspective, such an impeccably immense investment implies belief. Belief in growth. Belief in success. And ultimately, I just hope that the people investing in 100 Thieves are actually doing so to enable Nadeshot and the people he has put around him—there's been some situations where I've seen acquisitions or investments leading to a derailment of the initial goal.

In all candor, I really hope and I truly think that this is all going to be fantastic.

Also, if you're interested in this space, connected to this announcement, Nade put out a piece kind of describing his journey. I highly recommend you check it out. It's good. It's relatable, or inspirational.

With that said, that's my personal gas, it's my personal opinion and I pass the question off to you: Do you think that it is a good thing? Why? Why not? Lemme know. 🙂
