ISIS Threatens To Behead Obama

ISIS militants recently recorded a video where they sent a message to US President Obama saying that they will reach America, cut off his head in the White House, and transform the United States into a Muslim province.



I have to say to ISIS: That is such a ridiculous threat that even North Korea is embarrassed for you! You're gonna go to the White House and cut off Barack Obama's head!! In the White House!!!

The Attack That Happened in Pakistan Tuesday

If you haven't heard, at least 141 people are dead and at least 132 of them were children.



The attack was on the Peshawar school. Reportedly, 7 attackers went into the school gaining access by wearing military uniforms. Eye witness reports saying the men had explosive vests and they didn't appear to take any hostages but instead started firing indiscriminately when they entered the school.

All 7 of the attackers are dead and the Taliban has taken credit for this massacre. We also have an alleged Taliban commander telling the media why children were targeted. Saying:



Another quote referencing that this attack is just the trailer (for further attacks).

And while it should be noted that there are huge casualties here, it is actually not that rare for the Taliban to attack schools. Reportedly, in the past 5 years, over 1,000 Pakistani schools have been attacked by the Taliban. That has included people opening fire on school buses, throwing grenades into playgrounds. And this is the enemy! An enemy that fears education! An enemy that fears not being ignorant!

You attack a school of children?! Even Afghan Taliban has condemned Pakistani Taliban! Saying:



You attack children because you are not men! You attack schools and education because you know those who are educated, those who are not living under and denser than a rock will not believe in your cause!

It all boils down to this constant reminder that there's this kind of evil out there in the world. And we can either choose to be terrified or scared, and that turns into general, overall hate. Or, it can be this thing that brings us together against this very evil, in a black and white sort of sense, way.

But, ultimately, like everything else, we'll see.

Malaysia Airlines

Early Saturday morning, Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 lifted off at Kuala Lumpur with 227 passengers and 12 crew members; and started to make its way to Beijing, and then, it disappeared.





And now, even with the efforts of search clues from 10 different countries, the mysterious disappearance is leaving airline officials scratching their heads; and terrified family members of those onboard the flight, waiting for any type of information.





34 planes and 40 ships are scouring a 100-nautical mile stretch of sea where radar first picked up the flight before it vanished. But still, there's no trace of the plane, and no tiny wreckage has been located.



Data indicates that Flight MH370 may have double-backed and turned around near Thailand's border but the pilot provided no verbal indication or signal of distress.



As of now, authorities are not ruling out anything: the plane could have simply malfunctioned, went down in the ocean, disintegrated at 35,000 feet due to mechanical failure, or the passengers could be the victims of terrorism.



But then, on Sunday, a group that no one has ever heard of before – called the Chinese Martyrs' Brigade – claimed responsibility. But, many authorities and news agencies are dismissing it as a hoax.



There were big reports that there was an oil slick found in the ocean, but it's been reported that it is not the plane.



Then, it's been reported that during the search, they found debris – a yellow object they called it.



But, it's seeming like authorities are believing it's not the plane.



Now, authorities are beginning to focus on the identities of 2 men that they know boarded the plane with stolen passports.



Now, although it's alarming that they made it through screening, it's important to know that the region is notorious for illegal immigration to a Western country. So, officials are not jumping to the terrorism conclusion. Those fake passports belong to Christian Kozel of Austria; the other to Luigi Maraldi in Italy. Additionally, the tickets purchased under those names were one-way tickets. While fake passports might be related to terrorism, it also might be related to human trafficking. There are lots of possibilities.

5 very fortunate people didn't board the plane that day, for one reason, or another.



Situation is tragic, and crazy, and I can't imagine what all the family members are going through right now. Hopefully, they'll have some answers soon. I'll keep my eyes and ears open for any updates to this story, and I'll be sure to update you guys here.

Toilet Terrorists!

We all know regular terrorism is pretty damn scary, but, of course, the Japanese had to kick it up another level with toilet terrorism! You read that right. As I'm typing this, innocent people's butts, in Japan, may have already fallen prey to toilet terrorism.



You see, in Japan, toilets are these magical, amazing, awesome things. They have heated seats, bidet spray, music, fragrance release, butt driers, automatic lids (for days), automatic flushing, they even have fake flushy noises to help cover up any sounds that, you know, you might find embarrassing.



The luxury toilets (manufactured by Japanese firm Lixil), have wireless controls that you can access via an app on your Android smartphone. The Android application is called My SATIS.



Sounds somewhat surprising and possibly over complicated, but, very recently, an amazing little tidbit was revealed. Amazing in a bad way. The problem lies in the security PIN the SATIS toilet app uses to sync the toilet because the PIN code for every model is hardwired to be four zeros (0000).



You'd think it'd be like ones and twos, you know, like poops and peepees.

Anyone with the app can easily input that PIN into their phone, and gain control of any SATIS toilets within range.



Once the toilet terrorists gain control of nearby toilets, they can wreck all sorts of havoc including: spraying water all over the bathroom, blasting unsuspecting users with hot air in their no-no-zone, frequently flipping the lid open and close, and flushing the toilet repeatedly - which can drive up water bills, and drive the users crazy.

This isn't my idea of fun at all, lol.

The Spanish High-Speed Train Derailment

A high-speed train carrying 218 people, derailed in North-Western Spain, on July 24, 2013, killing at least 79 people, and injuring about 140 other passengers, according to reports coming from the region.



The train was travelling at a speed of 95 miles an hour, almost only miles away from Santiago de Compostela. It hit a curve in the tracks, with a speed advisory of only 50 miles an hour. So, obviously, the train was going at about twice the posted speed limit, when the engine, and all 13 of its carriages, jumped to the track, and ended up in a massive pile-up.













Fire engulfed one car, and another was snapped completely in half, after the train careened into a concrete wall.



The incident and the train driver have been under investigation, as well as the conductors. Authorities state that the train had no prior technical difficulties, and that it just passed an inspection. And, this is in no way being looked at as an act of terrorism.

Spain's Prime Minister declared 3 days of national mourning, and had this to say:





One responder said:



Firefighters and rescue personnel responded quickly, and because of their actions, numerous people were pulled from the burning wreckage, alive. They busted out windows, pried open doors, and pulled people to safety. Thank God for those guys.

As of blogging this, there are still 66 people who survived the train crash, in the hospital. 15 of them are in critical condition.

Also, a new information has come out about the driver of the train, Francisco José Garzón.



The first bit is that he is currently charged with 79 counts of (negligent) homicide, and numerous offences of bodily harm. All of them committed just because of professional recklessness.



The second bit is that Garzón really liked to go fast, and liked to brag about it. I know this because he took a picture of the speedometer on the train, posting it on Facebook, while he was going 200 kilometers an hour.



And, it should be noted that this photo was not from this incident, but reportedly from over a year ago.

And then, the third bit of news is that the 52-year-old train driver was reportedly on his phone, and reading a document, at the time of the crash, all while going nearly twice the speed limit.




My thoughts and condolences go to the families of those affected, especially now that it's seeming more and more like something that could've just been avoided.
