As of blogging this, the Egyptian health ministry reports that 525 people have died, with 3,572 injured; although activists say that both of these numbers are actually much higher.
US President Barack Obama strongly condemned Egypt's interim government, and also cancelled a joint military operation in protest. Obama said that the traditional cooperation (between both countries) cannot continue while civilians were being killed in the streets, and rights were being rolled back.
He called on the Egyptian authorities to respect the universal rights of the people. He also called on those who were protesting, to do so peacefully; and condemned the attacks that he had seen, by protesters, including on churches.
Where all of this would end, I do not know.
It does appear that the Muslim Brotherhood has no intention of stopping. They've announced plans of marches in Cairo. A spokesman for them saying:
So, seemingly, no close end in sight.
As things happen, I will, of course, (do my best to) update you.
