Smarter Women Are Less Likely to Have Children

Research emerging from the London School of Economics says that (on average) the maternal urge in a woman drops 25% for every 15 IQ points a woman goes up. Paraphrasing, for every 15 IQ points, the desire for children drops 25%. This has nothing to do with careers or high education, as it typically postulated.

It's in a book called The Intelligence Paradox, in a chapter titled Why Intelligent People Are Ultimately Losers In Life.

And, while many researchers do agree that it does look like women who have high intelligence quotient do have fewer children, there are others (like me) that contest the whole IQ thing.

And, the guy that came up with this, Dr. Satoshi Kanazawa (an evolutionary economist), his studies have been called under question in the past, because he had one previously about how black women are less attractive.

He claims that maternal instincts drop as IQs rise. Meaning that the smarter a woman is, the less likely she is to have those maternal instincts.

His ultimate conclusion on women with high IQs and not having babies, is that intelligent women who don't have kids are not only selfish, but stupid (for not living up to their seemingly supreme biological purpose).

My personal hypothesis is that smart women do not want to deal with stupid men's bullshit, and sadly, they don't realize that all men are in fact stupid. And, by the time they realize that, they can't have babies.

And so, I guess, the principal point of this short story is that all of our moms are apparently stupid.
